JIFTECH: Journal Of Islamic Financial Technology is a peer-reviewed journal, a publication on Islamic Financial Technology from research and original writings on Islamic Financial Technology. The journal aims to provide a platform for scientific understanding in the field of Islamic financial technology and has an important role in promoting the process of accumulation of knowledge, Islamic values, skills and the development of science. Scientific manuscript dealing about Islamic financial technology topics are particularly welcome to be submitted. The journal encompasses research articles, original research report, reviews, short communications and scientific commentaries s in Islamic Financial Technology. Specifically, the journal will deal with topics :

General Information

Criteria for Publication

JIFTECH: Journal Of Islamic Financial Technology, receives many article related to submissions to be published. Thus, peer-reviewers accept articles selectively and  reject the papers which may need intolerable revisions. To be published in the JIFTECH Journal, a paper should meet four general criteria:

-          Presenting considerable evidence for its conclusions.

-          Clear novelty.

-          Distinct significance for scientists in the field.

-          Open for inter or multi disciplinary studies.

Overall, the acceptable paper should represent an outstanding comprehension which is liable to inspire the thinking develepment of the field. There should be a perceptible reason as to why the work deserves to be published in the JIFTECH Journal.

The review process

Each submitted manuscripts is  read by the editorial staff. Only those papers that seem most likely to meet our editorial criteria are sent for full peer review. Those papers assessed by the editors to be of insufficient general interest or otherwise inappropriate are rejected promptly based on internal and external advice from reviewer specialists in the field).

The potential manuscripts to our readership interest are sent for the next review, at least by two reviewers. The editors then take a decision based on the reviewers' recommendation.

Peer-reviewer Selection

Reviewer selection is essential for publication process based on many factors, including expertise, reputation, specific recommendations and our experience of reviewing the publication process.  Furthermore, we ensure the potential reviewers before sending them manuscripts to review.

Writing the review

The main purpose of the review is to provide the editors with the information needed to determine the accepted manuscripts. The review should also advise the authors as to how they can rewrite for better paper to comply with editorial requirements. As far as possible, a negative review should explain to the authors the weaknesses of their manuscript, so that rejected authors can understand the basis for the decision and see in broad terms what needs to be done to improve the manuscript. This is secondary to the other functions, however, and referees should not feel obliged to provide detailed, constructive advice to the authors of papers that do not meet the criteria for the journal (as outlined in the letter from the editor when asking for the review).

Anonymity

We conduct double-blind review so to authors and the reviewer unknown each other. Unless the reviewers feel so strongly to identify the author, nonetheless, we prefer that reviewers are anonymous throughout the review process and beyond.

Peer-review publication policies

All contributions submitted to the specialists for education area that are selected for peer-review. No less than two selected reviewers read the propective articles.

Ethics and security

JIFTECH: Journal Of Islamic Financial Technology editors may seek advice about submitted papers not only from technical reviewers but also on any aspect of a paper that raises concerns. These may include, for example, ethical issues or issues of access to data or materials. Very occasionally, concerns may also relate to the implications to society of publishing a paper, including threats to security. In such circumstances, advice will usually be sought simultaneously with the technical peer-review process. Overall, publishing decisions, the ultimate decision as to whether to publish is the responsibility of the editor of the journal concerned.

 

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Plagiarism Policy

JIFTECH: Journal Of Islamic Financial Technology at UIN Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan recognizes that plagiarism is not acceptable for all authors and therefore establishes the following policy stating specific actions (penalties) when plagiarism is identified by anti-plagiarism software detection using Turnitin software (https://www.turnitin.com) in an article that is submitted for publication.

“Plagiarism is copying another person’s text or ideas and passing the copied material as your own work. You must both delineate (i.e., separate and identify) the copied text from your text and give credit to (i.e., cite the source) the source of the copied text to avoid accusations of plagiarism. Plagiarism is considered fraud and has potentially harsh consequences including loss of a job, loss of reputation, and the assignation of reduced or failing grade in a course."

This definition of plagiarism applies to copied texts and ideas:

  1. Regardless of the source of the copied text or idea.
  2. Regardless of whether the author(s) of the text or idea which you have copied actually copied that text or idea from another source.
  3. Regardless of whether or not the authorship of the text or idea which you copy is known
  4. Regardless of the nature of your text (journal paper/article, web page, book chapter, paper submitted for a college course, etc) into which you copy the text or idea
  5. Regardless of whether or not the author of the source of the copied material gives permission for the material to be copied; and
  6. Regardless of whether you are or are not the author of the source of the copied text or idea (self-plagiarism).
When plagiarism is identified by the Plagiarism Checker (using Turnitin software),  the Editorial Board is responsible for the review of this paper and will agree on measures according to the extent of plagiarism detected in the article in agreement with the following guidelines:
1.  Minor Plagiarism: A small sentence or short paragraph of another manuscript is plagiarized without any significant data or ideas taken from the other papers or publications.
Punishment: A warning is given to the authors and a request to change the manuscript and properly cite the original sources.

2.  Intermediate Plagiarism: A significant data, paragraph, or sentence of an article is plagiarized without proper citation to the original source.
Punishment: The submitted article is automatically rejected.

3.  Severe Plagiarism: A large portion of an article is plagiarized that involves many aspects such as reproducing original results (data, formulation, equation, law, statement, etc.), ideas, and methods presented in other publications.
Punishment: The paper is automatically rejected and the authors are forbidden to submit further articles to the journal.

The similarity level tolerated for papers submitted to the journal of JIFTECH must have a similarity level of less than 20%.

 

Publication Fee

JIFTECH: Journal Of Islamic Financial Technology  does not charge APCs, submission charges, or another fee. All processes of article publication are free of charge.

 

Publication Frequency

JIFTECH: Journal Of Islamic Financial Technology is published twice a year (June and December), and each number (issue).
