Pengaruh Motivasi Kerja dan Etos kerja Islami Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Pada Hotel Natama Syariah Padangsidimpuan

Abstract


The performance of employees at the Padangsidimpuan Natama Syariah Hotel has indicated a decrease as evidenced by the inaccuracy of work completion by employees. The formulation of the research problem is whether Islamic motivation and work ethic partially and simultaneously affect the performance of employees at Hotel Natama Syariah Padangsidimpuan. This study aims to determine the effect of Islamic motivation and work ethic partially and simultaneously on employee performance at Hotel Natama Syariah Padangsidimpuan. The theory used in this study relates to the factors that affect employee performance, namely the ability factor which consists of potential ability (IQ) and reality ability (education), motivational factors which are formed from employee attitudes in dealing with working conditions, leadership factors include elements of quality of managers and team leaders, enthusiasm, direction, and work support, team factors include the quality of support and enthusiasm given by team members, system factors include work systems, work facilities, infrastructure, organizational processes, contextual factors include pressures and changes in the external environment and internals. This research is a quantitative research. The population in this study amounted to 30 employees. Data processing uses SPSS Version 22. Based on descriptive statistics, normality test, linearity test, and multiple linear analysis, with simultaneous test (F) and partial test (t) then the coefficient of determination. The results showed that there was an effect of work motivation on employee performance at Hotel Natama Syariah Padangsidimpuan, there was an influence of Islamic work ethic on employee performance at Hotel Natama Syariah Padangsidimpuan and there was an influence of work motivation and Islamic work ethic simultaneously on employee performance at Hotel Natama Syariah Padangsidimpuan. This study also explains that there are other variables that can explain employee performance of 44.1%, besides work motivation and Islamic work ethic.
