Abstract


Hamka, a scholar of modern Indonesia, who was born and raised in Minangkabau and never become 'child live' in the family, has a unique view on polygamy. If some scholars, to understand the verses of the Koran about polygamy absolute, but for that paragraph is not appropriate Hamka understood implicitly. There are a number of aspects of the background for the permissibility of polygamy. This study tries to unfurl how exactly HAMKA original insights about polygamy. And why HAMKA monogamilah the view that the primary emphasis of al-Qur'an.
