Abstract

Problems in This research is about the declining performance of employees seen from targets that are not in line with expectations, regarding motivation that is still low, seen from their desire to complete tasks and responsibilities according to their expectations.

with the function of each employee, and the work environment does not yet support employees to work comfortably due to inadequate office equipment. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is a simultaneous influence between motivation and work environment on employee performance at CV. Omco Jaya Padangsidimpuan.

This research is related to human resources. In this regard, the approach taken is theories related to employee performance which include motivation and work environment. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The total population in this study were 32 samples. The data used in this study is primary data. Data collection techniques using interviews, questionnaires/questionnaires, and documentation and the analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 23.

The instrument test uses validity and reliability tests. The analytical method used is the analysis of normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. Hypothesis testing used is simultaneous statistical test (F test) and partial statistical test (t test).

The results of the analysis in the study showed that partially the motivation variable was obtained tcount < t table (1,290 < 1,699), so there was no influence of motivation on employee performance. Partially the work environment variable is obtained tcount > ttable (5.752 > 1.699), then there is an effect of the work environment on employee performance. Simultaneously, motivation and work environment show that the value of Fcount is greater than the value of Ftable (23.411 > 2.50) meaning that there is an influence of motivation and work environment on the performance of employees of CV. Omco Jaya Padangsidimpuan. The results of the R2 test show the value of 0.618 indicates that the independent variables (motivation and work environment) has an effect of 61.8% on the dependent variable (employee performance) the remaining 0.292 or (29.2%) is influenced by other variables.
