PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERFIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS MAHASISWA IAIN PADANGSIDIMPUAN MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH

Abstract


Students’ Mathemtics Critical Thingking Ability is an Important component that should be had by a student to help them in solving mathematics problems and their daily problems. One of the ways to develop their ability is trough Problem Based Learning. Problem Based  Learning is a Learning based on the Problems which consists of fact., condition, and situation that emphazised to students’ cognitive structure. The main problem of this research is do the students’ improvement with Problem Based Learning in Mathematics Critical Thingking Ability higher than students’ with conventional Learning? The instrument in this research is mathematics critical thingking test. This research is a semi experiment with pre-test, post-test control group design. The data are by using t-test. T-test is done homogeneity and normality test for about 5% significant. Based on the result of this research, it has been found that the students’ improvement with Problem Based Learning is higher than students with Convenional Learning.
