Muhammad Taufiq El-Ikhwan (IAIN Padangsidimpuan, Indonesia)

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia itself is a country with a low level of financial literacy. OJK through the results of the 2016 national financial literacy and inclusion survey stated that Islamic financial literacy was still low at 11.6%. In addition, the role of educated young Muslims is considered important as agents of change so that Islamic financial literacy in Indonesia can increase. However, many factors influence Islamic finance literacy. This study aims to determine the effect of variables of hopenessness, religiosity and financial satisfaction on Islamic financial literacy in Padangsidimpuan IAIN students. This study uses a quantitative approach where primary data is obtained through questionnaires, with a total sample of 100 people. Based on the results of multiple analysis, both hopelessness, religiosity and financial satisfaction together have a significant effect on Islamic financial literacy. But partially, hopelessness and religiosity have no effect on Islamic financial literacy in Padangsidimpuan IAIN students.
